“We are really excited to be in camp once again, we know we are better and we are so good to go,” said Queen Cranes forward Imelda Kasemira, her voice carrying confidence as Uganda step up preparations for their FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Ghana.

Uganda’s U-20 women’s national team are deep in residential camp at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru, sharpening their game ahead of the first leg on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Queen Cranes are under head coach Sheryl Botes Ulanda, who has been working with the squad since they entered camp on April 19, focusing on fitness, structure, and tactical discipline.

For Kasemira, the mood in camp is positive and focused.

“The coaches are doing everything that is needed,” she said.

“They are giving us the best training sessions and we promise to give our best. We are ready to do anything and bring positive results.”
