The FUFA Women Super League matchday fifteen climaxed this Sunday with four nail-biting encounters keeping fans on the edge of their seats.

Defending champions Kampala Queens were frustrated once again, drawing 2-2 with She Makerere in Lugogo. This extends their winless streak to four games.

Teddy Najjuma and Lillian Kasuubo found the net for the Queens, while Sharon Namatovu’s brace for the visitors ensured a share of the spoils in an entertaining clash.

The draw means that the two sides have shared points in both legs with the same scoreline. Kampala Queens remain seven points behind leaders Kawempe, though they have a game in hand.

For She Makerere, they moved to seventh position with 16 points and their striker Sharon Namatovu’s impressive performance sees her join Kawempe’s Agnes Nabukenya as the league’s joint-top scorer, both boasting nine goals.

Up next, Kampala Queens face Lady Doves on Thursday, April 25th, while She Makerere host She Maroons on the same day.

Draws Dominate the Day

Another 2-2 stalemate occurred at Wakisha, with Rines and Uganda Martyrs failing to separate. Justine Ayerango and Patricia Nakato Nanyanzi (penalty) scored for Rines, while Latifah Nakasi and Immaculate Nakanjako responded for Uganda Martyrs.

The Martyrs, who needed a win to overtake She Maroons for third place, missed the opportunity. Rines will travel to Asubo Ladies FC next, while Uganda Martyrs face a trip to UCU Lady Cardinals on Thursday, April 25th.

Wakiso Hill Earn Crucial Win

Wakiso Hill secured a much-needed 1-0 victory over She Maroons in Kitende, courtesy of Phiona Nabbuduwa’s second-half strike.

This crucial win lifts Wakiso Hill out of the relegation zone (15 points), while UCU slide into the danger zone. With survival their primary objective, Wakiso Hill host Kawempe Muslim on Thursday, while She Maroons visit She Makerere on the same day.

Lady Doves Maintain Winning Ways

Lady Doves continued their impressive home form, edging past Asubo Ladies FC 1-0. Docus Kwikiriza’s first-half goal proved decisive, propelling the Believers to 18 points and fifth place.

Asubo remain rooted at the bottom of the table (10 points), five adrift of safety. Lady Doves travel to Kampala Queens on Thursday, while Asubo host Rines SS WFC.

Earlier on Saturday, Kawempe defeated UCU Lady Cardinals 2-1 and the Valley Warriors are now only six points away from winning their first ever FUFA Women Super League title.
