KCCA FC claimed their second victory of the season, overpowering Gaddafi FC 6-1 in a Ugandan Premier League clash at Lugogo Stadium on Friday.
Muhammad Shaban and Usama Arafat each bagged a brace, while Etienne Katenga and substitute Dominic Ayella contributed one goal apiece to KCCA’s convincing win. Sharif Ssengendo managed a spectacular consolation goal for Gaddafi.
KCCA FC coach Abdullah Mubiru expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance, acknowledging room for improvement.

“We’re pleased with the outcome, but we can still improve,” Mubiru stated. “This team has faced challenges, and we need to manage them effectively.”
“I commend my players for maintaining high intensity, especially in the first half. In the second half, they relaxed, perhaps due to inexperience with the intensity or fatigue from previous matches,” he explained.
“We must maintain this level of performance in upcoming games. We understand each match demands a different approach, but we’ll give it our all. Hard work is essential to this team’s progress,” Mubiru added.

Despite failing to secure their second victory, Gaddafi coach David Mutono remains confident in a comeback.
“It wasn’t our day. We fell short, particularly in the first half. We’ve identified our mistakes and will rectify them,” Mutono remarked.
KCCA’s victory propelled them to 14th position with seven points, three behind tenth-placed Gaddafi.
