KCCA Leopards too good for UPDF, Power diffuse Rockets

KCCA Leopards were simply too good for the UPDF Lady Tomahawks winning 100-50 in the midweek fixture.

With their second triple-figure score of the season, the Leopard made it sevens in a row.

Leopard’s Perus Nyamwenge was dominant with 21 points scored, closely followed by Faridah Kadondi. Asinah Kabendela added to this shift with a 12-point and 11-rebound double-double to spur the Leopards to victory. Patience Nantume led all Lady Tomahawks scorers with 15 points.

In the men’s game, DMark Power came from down at the half to beat the Kampala Rockets, the latter making it 7 losses in 8 games played this season.

Down four points at the halfway point, Power outscored Rockets 44-28 in the second half to emerge victorious despite losing Philip Ameny to injury.

Rockets’ Francis Kasinde led all scorers in the game with 23 points on top of his 13 rebounds, while Ozias Kikomba led the way in rebounds with 19, to supplement his 14 points.

Samad Imran was the star performer for the DMark Power, notching a balanced double-double of 12 points and 16 rebounds. All the other Power starters also registered double digit points that’s Elvis Mutebi (18), Isaac Afidra (14), Philip Ameny (13), and Elvis Sentongo (12).
