Kigonya faced less threat from Nkima; however, a lapse in defending created an opportunity for Amuli Mukasa, but the experienced goalkeeper saved the situation in the first half.

From normal play, the game went straight to penalty shootouts. Disan Galiwango successfully opened the scoring. On Nkima’s attempt, Kigonya saved Edgar Katumba’s effort.

Later, Kigonya stepped up to take a penalty but struck it against the right-hand post. He then reclaimed the opportunity for Kakoboza by saving Diego Junior Katumba’s effort, securing the win for the Bakerekere 4-3.
