Late season drama all across the board as Pirates send off Bobby

The last games of every league year are always hot and serve you curve balls like not seen before and this last weekend was no different.

Fine margins for Heathens again

In a game-of-the-season contender, defending Champions Heathens needed a late penalty try to beat the Buffaloes 20-19.

The baby Kyadondo were in charge of the game the entire way with Liam Walker calling all shots.

Solid defense, synchronized attack, and relentless are some ways to describe the fight within the buffaloes.

For the second game in a row, the Heathens needed a late penalty try to confirm a win.

There are signs that all is not well in the yellow machine camp as now they’re only a point ahead of rivals KOBs and Pirates.

KOBs take advantage of superior numbers.

Speaking KOBs, they were shell-shocked in the first half when the visiting team kept running circles around in a period that left many fans without fingernails.

Rams didn’t look like a side that was unprepared after declaring financial issues 48 hours earlier.

They were a different beast on game day. Many would argue that the game would have been closer than the 55-33 score had Rams not collected the red card.

Walukuba go barbaric on limping Impis

When it rains, it certainly does pour for the Impis. Having gone 5 out of 5 to start the season, Impis have managed just one win from nine games since.

Their visit to Walukuba was one to forget as the Barbarians, in true nature, were an untamed beast attacking and conquering with no regard.

The Barbarians subjected Impis to a heavy 37-07 defeat, a result to forget for the visitors. The Walukuba side has grown into a formidable side this season, with each performance even better than the last.

Bigger mission for Pirates

At Kings Park Arena, the Black Pirates were in inspired form, beating the hapless Rhinos 45-00 in what would be the last game of Robert ‘Coach Bobby’ Musinguzi as Director Of Rugby at the club.

Captain Magomu was in his usual cantankerous ship captain form as he inspired the 2018 champions to a bonus point at home.

Elsewhere, Mongers denied Jinja Hippos a winning bonus point at the latter’s home.
