Ssaza Mawokota has completed the signing of fantastic goalkeeper Abubaker Egesa from Buddu, the Masaza Cup defending champions.

The 22-year-old was unsatisfied with the offer given to him by Buddu before deciding to end his one-year stay in Masaka.

Egasa’s departure means that the former Buvuma county goalie has joined the likes of Mike Kayongo, Herbert Onen and others who left Buddu from last season’s winning squad.

This has come to light with less than two weeks to the opening of the 2025 Masaza Cup as different teams continue building playing squads.

Mawokota is in Masengere Group along with Buwekula, Kyadondo, Buvuma, Bulemeezi and Bugerere.

The 2025 Masaza Cup will officially kick off on 21st June 2025 as Buddu hosts record champions Gomba at Kitovu Sports Arena.
