Crested Cranes striker Fauzia Najjemba was among the goals on Saturday afternoon as her side, Dynamo Moscow, stunned Lokomotiv Moscow 3-0 in the second game of the season.
Dynamo secured a well-deserved lead in the first half thanks to Najjemba’s strike in the 32nd minute. Kaylan Rose Bradford Williams and Kristina Komissarova added further goals in the 54th and 61st minutes respectively, sealing a convincing win for the home side.
The former Kampala Queens captain now has one goal and two assists in just the opening two games of the season.

This victory marks Dynamo Moscow’s second win in as many games this season. They currently sit in second place behind CSKA Moscow, with only a three-goal difference separating the two teams in the standings.
Next up for Najjemba and Dynamo Moscow is an away fixture against Zenit St. Petersburg on Saturday, March 23rd, 2024. Zenit is currently unbeaten and sits third in the table with maximum points from their opening two matches.
Meanwhile, Ugandan midfielder Joan Nabirye featured for Spartak Moscow in their second league match, playing out a goalless draw against Chertanovo. This earns Spartak their first point of the season and sees them occupy ninth place in the 13-team league.

Nabirye’s team, Spartak Moscow, will be looking for their first victory in the top flight when they travel to face Zvezda in their next league game, also taking place on Saturday, March 23rd, 2024.
