NBL: City Oilers floor Our Savior for second win

National Basketball League (NBL) defending Champions, City Oilers have continued to show their winning DNA with a majestic 74-38 win over Our Savior.

It was the second blowout win of the Oilers this season in as many games. The Oilers defeated DMark Power, who used to be their toughest rivals, 73-38, in the first game, and have now subjected Our Saviour nearly to the same fate.

Point guard Fayed Baale was announced as the most outstanding player, with a game-high 14 points, accompanied by 5 rebounds and two assists.

Titus Lual came through with a solid double-double for the Oilers, notching 11 points and 12 rebounds.

It was the first loss of the season for Our Savior, who started the season on a three-game winning streak. No player from Our Savior registered more than 9 points, with Kenneth Mesho and Icumar Joel achieving that fate.

Women’s Category

In the earlier game, Inès Kanyamuneza put on a clinic for the KIU Rangers, on the road to winning 76-57 against the Magic Stormers.

Captain Inès shone with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists to help her team win. Amaniyo Rosemary registered a double-double on the night, scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds.

Sharon Kirabo and Elizabeth Aguti Akol were the other scorers in double figures for the Rangers, registering 14 and 13 points, respectively.

Magic Stormers forward Daphine Adong led all scorers on the night with 23 points. The Magic Stormers lost sight of the game in the second quarter, only scoring 4 points.
