Ntugasaze FC, a team that achieved promotion to the FUFA Big League through the 2023/24 playoffs, has faced challenges in maintaining their early season momentum.

Currently positioned 12th on the table with 12 points, the club has taken decisive action to address their recent struggles.

Recognizing the need for improvement, Club President and Director of Club Sponsors, Yossam Ntegerejje, along with the board, has implemented several changes.

“Our first goal is to reach the Super League,” stated Ntegerejje. “The other is to develop talents, which is why we have a lot of young players in our squad.”

Key changes include the appointment of Bob Ogwang as CEO and a new manager, reflecting the club’s commitment to professional development.

“If you are a farmer and detect a stone in your garden earlier, it doesn’t spoil the hoe,” explained Ntegerejje, emphasizing the importance of proactive decision-making.

“This is the reason why when we went to play Booma, we managed to attain a draw away from home which was difficult some time back” he added.

To further strengthen the squad, Ntugasaze has made strategic transfers, including the acquisition of former Mbale Heroes and Kiyinda Boys shot-stopper Lukyamuzi Keneth, as well Bob Olwoch Junior from Booma FC.

Olwoch comes with experience having played in Sweden for Lüdvika FK, Växjö United, Ljungby IF and Vipers SC before he joined Booma.

Ntugasaze will face a crucial test on Sunday, January 5th, 2025, when they host second-placed Blacks Power. Both teams are currently level on points (23) with league leaders Gadaffi Football Club.
