Uganda Netball legend and former captain of the She Cranes, Peace Proscovia, has been appointed Assistant Coach of the She Cranes ahead of the UK Vitality Netball Nations Cup.
Peace Proscovia will deputise head coach Fred Mugerwa.
She has been serving as part of the Normalization committee (athletes representative), which is overseeing the activities in the game of Netball in Uganda.
This was after the Uganda Netball Federation executive committee was stood down with President Sarah Babirye Kityo serving jail time at that time, posting bail and still under the Police’s watchful eye with investigations still undergoing.
Despite the disputes, the She Cranes can be sure to be taken care of after the government through Hon Peter Ogwang, Minister of State for Sports, committed to supporting their activities through the Normalization Committee as guided by World Netball and National Sports Act 2023.
The She Cranes will play across the weekends of January 20-21 and 27-28, 2024, at the OVO Arena Wembley.
