After the inspection, Minister Sserwanga rallied the people of Buganda Kingdom to turn up in good numbers, “We have finalized our preparation for the 2026 Bika games championships and all is set. The Muteesa II Wankulukuku Stadium is extremely good for the event, and we only call upon our people in Buganda to come and participate in the games as players and, at most, as supporters in big numbers.”

We hope for large crowds, and we have assigned tight security, both armed and unarmed. We are going to do everything to provide security for people and their property at the venue and around nearby areas.”

The games, which are scheduled up to June 6, will commence on May 2 with the Netball championship in the morning and two football games in the evening, which will have Clan matching and Tag of War in the interval.

BIFONEC vice Chairperson in charge of Netball, Dr. Sarah Nkonge, revealed the Netball programs, “We are very grateful to the Kabaka and the Kingdom. In Netball, we have attracted 25 teams split into six groups. Our opening day program shall start at 9:00 am with multiple games across four courts inside Muteesa II Wankulukuku Stadium, where we will play until it is time for football.”

With a good number of games and activities on the day, the entrance to the Kingdom stall charges 5,000 Ugx per spectator, with kids accessing the event for free.
