- Kitara FC Vs SC Villa – Royal Park, Butema | 4 pm
Najib Yiga has called on SC Villa to step up and deliver when they face Kitara in a crucial Uganda Premier League duel on Thursday in Hoima.
With the title race tightening, both sides know what is at stake. SC Villa and Kitara are level on 51 points, eight behind leaders Vipers, who dropped points against KCCA earlier in the week.
Victory in Butema would cut that gap to five points with four matches left, keeping real pressure on the leaders.
Yiga, fresh from a brace against Buhimba United Saints, expects a difficult test especially against his former club but insists Villa are ready.

“We know it’s going to be a tough game, but we’re ready to rise to the occasion away from home,” he said. “We must secure points in Hoima to keep our ambitions alive.”
Villa travel in good form, unbeaten in nearly five matches, and still firmly in the title race. The return of captain David Owori from suspension is a timely boost, though there are concerns over striker Frank Ssebuufu, who picked up a knock in the last game.
Ssebuufu was the difference in the reverse fixture, scoring the only goal in Villa’s 1-0 win.

But past meetings show how tight this contest has been, with both sides evenly matched over the years.
