Pilsner SUPL Awards: Four-star Karisa the evening’s biggest winner

Vipers SC star Milton Karisa was the heaviest winner in the Pilsner 2022/23 Startimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) awards.

The winger was awarded at the ceremony held in rich mystique at the Sheraton Hotel, Kampala on Thursday.

Karisa clinched four awards including the Player of the Season award, the Most Assists, Coaches’ Player of the season, before getting named in the team of the campaign.

The other worthy winners with multiple awards included Laban Tibiita (two), Simon Tamale (two), Allan Kayiwa (two), Hillary Mukundane (two) and Charles Bbaale who had double awards as well.

In the other categories, Blacks Power FC won the Fair Play Award after collecting 30 yellow cards and no red card.

SC Villa forward Charles Bbaale clinched the Players’ Player of the season award as voted for by the 15 captains in the league.

Milton Karisa took home the Coaches’ Player of the Season award, after a pulsating campaign with Vipers.

Laban Tibiita of Busoga United, beat Wakiso Giants FC‘s Lawrence Bukenya and Arua Hill SC’s Gadafi Wahab to the Midfielder of Season accolade.

Maroons FC star Darius Ojok took home the Young Player of the Season, Mukundane for defender of the season, Allan Kayiwa the topscorer while legend Andrew Fimbo Mukasa won the Platinum Award.
