SC Villa bounced back from a string of inconsistent performances to beat Arua Hill 3-1 in the Uganda Premier League at Wankulukuku stadium on Thursday.
Villa had previously won just one of their opening five games, but they rediscovered their form against a determined Arua Hill side.
The first half ended in a goalless draw, but SC Villa came back stronger in the second half and scored through Ronald Ssekiganda, Umar Lutalo, and Peter Onzima. Frank Kalanda scored the consolation goal for Arua Hill.

Ssekiganda, who had not been getting much playing time before Thursday’s game, credited the victory to hard work.
“We knew what we wanted and we tried to rectify our mistakes,” Ssekiganda said. “We were now ready to compete and this was a good comeback compared to our previous game.”
