The Tanzanian Premier League giants Simba Queens are in advanced talks with Crested Cranes striker Joanita Ainembabazi.
The CAF Champions League CECAFA region reigning champions, were inspired by Joanita Ainembabazi’s performance at Ceasiaa Queens.
Ainembabazi, joined Ceasiaa Queens in Tanzania at the start of this year leaving She Corporate FC and she managed to score eight goals in only the second round of the league.
The energetic striker scored a brace on her debut when Ceasiaa Queens defeated Alliance Girls 4-3.
The 20 year old forward is expected to put pen on a two-year employment contract to join Simba Queens.
In the 2022/23 Serengeti Elite Women’s Premier League, Simba Queens finished second behind JKT Queens in a season they considered as a disappointment.
Ainembabazi was part of the Crested Cranes final squad that represented the country in the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
She has previously featured for She Corporates FC, Rines SS WFC and Tooro Queens FC.
