The Platinum Credit Heathens have successfully defended the Uganda Cup. The Heathens were too much of a bite for the Rams to chew on, the latter winning 57-22 at the Kings Park Arena in Bweyogerere.

The win ensured that Heathens went through the Uganda Cup unbeaten and made it thirteen Uganda Cup wins for the Kyadondo-based side.

“It has been exhilarating for me. As you saw, I have been transitioning between number 8 and number 13 as the game went on, and I tried to see that we nurtured the boys on both ends. I am happy to lead the team to another win,” said Captain Michael Wokorach of the Platnum Credit Heathens.

The Heathens and Rams exchanged penalties early, sizing each other before Innocnent Gwokjoto broke the line and danced to the try line to score twice.

Heathens kept pulling away after this, ending the half 27-12 in the lead. The second half had more Heathens dominance, scoring five tries and a penalty to emerge 57-22 winners.
