KCCA FC has confirmed the signing of forward Umar Lutalo on a two-and-a-half-year deal, bolstering their squad with the versatile player from Kitara FC.

The news was revealed by the club on Saturday morning, marking a significant addition to their creative department.

Lutalo, who was instrumental in SC Villa’s triumph during the 2023/24 league season, has had a mixed experience at Kitara FC.

After helping SC Villa secure the league title, he made the move to the Hoima-based side at the start of the current season.

However, his time at Kitara has been challenging, as he struggled to secure a regular starting spot and failed to make a significant impact on the field.

At KCCA FC, Lutalo will provide much-needed depth to the team’s attacking and creative options.

His versatility is one of his key attributes, as he is capable of playing as a number ten, on either wing, or even as a left back.

This adaptability will give head coach Morley Byekwaso more options as he seeks to strengthen the squad for the second half of the season.

Lutalo joins an exciting group of players at KCCA FC, including Bright Anukani, Arafat Usama, Etienne Katenga, and Saidi Mayanja, all of whom have been contributing to the club’s offensive play this season.

KCCA FC, currently sitting in fourth place on the table with 24 points, will be looking to Lutalo to add creativity and dynamism to their attack as they push for a higher position in the second round of the league.

Their next match will be away to NEC FC on February 13, 2025, where Lutalo could make his debut for the club.
