Thirteen-time Uganda Premier League champions KCCA FC played out a one-all stalemate with third-placed BUL FC at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru on Tuesday.
Vincent Zziwa netted the opener before Julius Poloto found the leveller for the Kasasiro Boys, to the satisfaction of the latter’s head coach Morley Byekwaso.
“I am not disappointed with this result, I am happy because this team is strong, they have been on the continent and they are third on the table,” Byekwaso told the media after the match.
“Having conceded first, it took a lot of effort for us to find an equalizer, yes we could have won the game but we lacked a bit of concentration, especially in the final third.”
“There is a moment where we could have lost this game because the opponents we played were also good users of the ball and almost all the chances were under pressure.”
“But it is a game behind us now and we shall take the point and prepare for our next game at home against Busoga on Friday.”
“And I am optimistic that we shall return to winning ways though it will also not be an easy game because they are gaining momentum each game that goes by,” he added.
Byekwaso’s side kept at the summit with 26 points after 12 games while Alex Isabirye’s coached team stayed third with 24.
KCCA will return to action on Friday, December 16th as they host Busoga United, while BUL will visit second-placed Vipers SC at Kitende a day later.
