Vipers SC captain Milton Karisa has highlighted the added pressure of playing at home ahead of their Uganda Premier League clash with Express FC at St Mary’s Stadium Kitende tonight.
While fans often believe that home-field advantage is a significant factor, players often feel the weight of expectation to perform.
“Playing at home is much more difficult than playing away because everyone expects you to win,” Karisa stated.
๐ฃ โWe are highly determined to do it, and the task is clear. It's up to us to give everything we can tomorrow to ensure that we pick maximum points.โ

It is going to be a second outing of the campaign for both teams with the Venoms eyeing their first points of the season, while the Red Eagles will be hoping to build on their win from matchday 1.
Despite the setback, Karisa remains optimistic and determined to secure a victory. “Losing or drawing would be worse for us,” he emphasized. “We need to make our fans proud and start the campaign on a positive note.”
Vipers are looking to bounce back from a 3-1 loss to NEC FC in their season opener. NEC scored through former KCCA playmaker Muzamir Mutyaba, and former Vipers duo of Paul Mucureezi and Cromwell Rwothomio. Vipers’ consolation came from defender Livingstone Mulondo.
Express FC, who played a day after Vipers, defeated Mbale Heroes 2-1 thanks to Sam Ssenyonjo’s second half brace at Hamz stadium. The match is expected to be a competitive encounter between two teams eager to impress their supporters.
