As the hunt for the 2022/23 Uganda Premier League trophy heats up, Vipers SC will visit Soltilo Bright Stars FC on Tuesday at Kavumba Recreation Grounds.
The defending champions have an opportunity of shooting to the summit, should they avoid defeat on enemy territory.
They are on 45 points in second, one adrift of toppers SC Villa, who have played two games more. Vipers also boast a superior goal difference.
“We are facing a team that has been getting the results, that has good coaches, and a team that works as a group,” said Isabirye in a media address ahead of tomorrow.
“They have players that work as a unit so I know, it won’t be easy but we are trying to see that we get three points for whichever game we play,” he added.
“The players know very well that three points is my only request and I always tell them to go out there and do their best for three points,” Isabirye noted.
It ended in a dull goalless stalemate when two sides met in the first round at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
Vipers have never lost a league game to Bright Stars since 2013, and have been victorious 10 times, with the other seven ending in draws.
