It was a show of character, guile and grit as A1 Challenge mounted a scintillating comeback to win 55-53 against Nabisunsa Girls in the National Basketball League at YMCA on Saturday.
After a poor second quarter where A1 scored just one point to trail 26-13 at half-time and were 14 points down going into the last quarter, they put up a superb last quarter to emerge victors.
Yaweh Precious (13 points) and Sandra Ayikoru (10 points) led A1 Challenge to a big comeback.
On the other side, Patience Karungi led the way with 20 points and 16 rebounds for Nabisunsa.
It was the perfect revenge by A1, who lost 64-58 to Nabisunsa in their opening game of the season.
A1 Challenge who out rebounded Nabisunsa 70-51, have won just three games this season. The other two against another relegation candidate, Nkumba Marines.
It is the 10th loss for Nabisunsa Girls who have two wins one against A1 and the other against Magic Stormers.
