Nsuma reaches where they failed to reach last year by storming into round of 32 with a perfect double cratch over Mpeewo.
The Buvuma based Clan defeated Mpeewo 1-0 in a return leg game played at Kibuli SS on Friday 9th May 2025.
William Musoke scored the lone goal of the game earlier in the first half with a diving header, the goal didn’t only win the return leg, it also sealed a 2-0 aggregate win for Nsuma.
In the first leg, Steven Mulali coached team won Mpeewo 1-0 with a goal scored by Innocent Kanaabi Mukalazi.
Last year, Kibondwe grandchildren were eliminated by Nvubu at round of 64 a round they passed with double wins becoming the only team two win both games of the round this year.
In other games, Omutima Omuyanja also progressed to round of 32 despite shocking 2-0 loss to Nkusu at Kibuli SS play ground.
Ibrahim Kasakya and Ronald Ssewannonda scored in second half, with five minutes to full time, Nkusu head Coach who also doubles as the Clan Sports minister Fred Ssekibiina 50 year Old, introduced himself as a substitute on to kill the game but it ended in veins.
The return leg games at Kibuli cause more shocks as Ngabi Nyunga defeat Omusu by 1-0 to send the game into shootouts following 2-1 win of Omusu in the first leg.
With a tied at 2-2 on aggregate the Kanyanas’ went on to win 5-3 in penalties to progress to the round of 32 as well.
Meanwhile, Ngaali first leg 2-0 shock win over Ffumbe caused the Bakka-based Clan to fail to turn up for return leg.
Off from Kibuli SS to Lubiri SS, Olulyo Olulangira were also defeated by Nakinsige 1-0 but Balangira was already in a comfortable sit with a 3-0 win in the first leg.
