The KCCA U-20 team impressively beat Ruvu Shooting 4-0 to get off the Cambiasso and Rainbow International Tournament to a flying start, in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

New signing Faisal Wabyoona, captain Ibrahim Juma, Abubakar Mayanja and Jovan Mwanje scored for the Kasasiro Boys at the Azam Complex on Monday.

Three quick-fire strikes in the first half through a powerful left shot a few metres outside the box from Wabyoona, a couple of minutes later, Juma scored direct from the corner.

As Ruvu was trying to get back in the game, a beautiful bulidup from deep saw Mayanja finish calmly with a chip over the on rushing keeper to set the tone for a smooth second that had Mawanje making it four for the young Ugandan representatives.

After one game, KCCA top Group C with three points while Ruvu lie rock-bottom without a single point. Mtibwa Sugar U20, who are yet to play their first game, sit second.

Head Coach Richard Malinga’s charges will return to action on Wednesday against Mtibwa Sugar at the Azam Complex. From the four groups that are comprised of three teams each, only the table-toppers will make it to the semi-finals.
