Onduparaka Football Club have secured the services of Haruna Mawa as their Head Coach, signing a one-year contract, till the end of the 2022/23 campaign.

The tactician is a certified nomad as he has moved a number of clubs in his coaching career.

He has previously managed at Doves All Stars, the Somalia National Senior team in 2016 and Uganda’s U-20 team.

He has also been head coach at the KCCA Junior Team, Victoria University among a number of other sides in his normadic coaching career.

He comes in as Bosco Dudu’s successor who left the Caterpillars upon helping them survive relegation in the 2021/22 season.

Bosco Dudu successfully steered the West Nile giants away from relegation during his short stint.

Dudu had been appointed on interim basis having succeeded the sacked George Lutalo midway through last season.

Meanwhile, the West Nile powerhouse will hope Mawa can use his rich experience to help them achieve bigger things in the incoming season.
