Uganda Cranes are 90 minutes away from sealing qualification to the 2023 African Nations Championship (CHAN).

The team has to avoid a loss in the return leg against Tanzania tomorrow to sail through. The Cranes carry 1-0 advantage from the reverse fixture.

Pacy forward Milton Karisa who is the skipper of the team has faith in his squad ahead of the regional derby match.

“We are well prepared in advance for the task ahead of us. And are ready to attain the result expected of us tomorrow,” Karisa noted in the press conference.

Uganda is eyeing a sixth appearance at the final tournament having played at the previous five editions (2011, 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2020).

And according to Head Coach coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic, Cranes needs the nation to be behind them by filling St. Mary’s Stadium.

“I would like to invite you all to Kitende to help these young boys to become men. Knowing that together with the support of our player number 12, we shall get the desired result,” Micho noted.
