CHAN 2023: StarTimes to broadcast matches in Luganda, three other languages

The official 7th edition of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) broadcasting network, StarTimes will serve Uganda football fraternity in four languages.

The dialect buffet has Luganda, Runyooro, Luo and English. World Football and Sanyuka Prime will be the lead channels broadcasting in English and Luganda respectively.

“CHAN is such a special competition for us due to the fact that only StarTimes Uganda Premier league stars are eligible to participate.This platform will open doors for our players to greener pastures,” said Isma Lule, the Brand and Marketing Director StarTimes.

“We want to give our people a sense of belonging.”

Uganda was drawn in Group B together with DR Congo, Senegal and Cote D’Ivoire.

Cranes has failed to go past the group stages during the five times they have played in the tournament that started in 2007, but, will this time try to put in a bigger shift.
