Mengo City boasted five different goalscorers in the match; Haki Bagalaba, Akram Ssali, Ian Tugume, Akram Katende, and Arafat Kabanda all got their names on the scoresheet.

The win capped off a joyous evening for Mengo City, adding to a double accolade collection. Abdillahi Abdifata won the Coach of the Month award.

In other matches, Crown Lubiri continued to shine in the Frenzy Edition of the Futsal Super League with a 2-1 win over Busunju Spaks, thanks to goals from Abdiwahab Abasi and AbdiShakur Abdul Kadir.

Sandwiched between Crown’s two goals was a consolation goal from Keith Ssali for Busunju Spaks, but it wasn’t enough, and Crown Lubiri secured an early progression to the next stage of the tournament, having hammered Park FC 4-0 in their first match.

Kisenyi FC failed to hold onto their lead, drawing 2-2 with Kabowa Dream Team. Waleed Bashir scored both of Kisenyi’s goals, but Ogwang Victor and Ssenyonga Aksam scored for Kabowa Dream Team to secure a hard-fought draw.

All the games took place at the Old Kampala Futsal Arena, the same venue where the third week will commence on Friday, February 14, for a Valentine’s Day experience.
