Vipers SC defender Halid Lwaliwa has finally called it quits after eight years at Kitende, joining North Macedonian top-tier side, FK Bregalnica Stip.
He joined the Venoms in 2014 after impressing with their feeder side, St Mary’s Secondary School, Kitende and has not looked back since.

The 26 year-old has now penned down a two-year employment contract at his fresh home.
He leaves after winning four of Vipers’ five League championships including, 2014/15, 2017/18, 2019/20 and the 2021/22 Uganda Premier League titles.

He also helped guide them to two Uganda Cup triumphs, in 2016 and most recently in 2021.

Lwaliwa also won the Uganda Super Cup and the Pilsner Super Cup in 2015 and 2019 as a Venom.

Most recently, as he guided them to the 2021/22 League success, he was named the season’s best defender and formed part of the team of the season.

Meanwhile, Bregalnica plays in the country’s top-flight and currently fourth on the 12-team table.
