The game will be held on June 24th, 2023 at Johnson Bagoole Memorial Grounds in Busembatia, Bugweri District.

The match will feature Busembatia FC and an Eastern Region Select team, and will be preceded by a church service at Bagoole’s village of Busembatia.

Some of the players who have confirmed their participation include Uganda Cranes and Young Africans midfielder Khalid Aucho, Singida Big Stars defender Shafic Batambuze, and Isaac Isinde.

Bagoole started his career with Iganga Town Council before joining Express FC, where he made a name for himself as a hard-working and skillful midfielder.

He later moved to Rwanda to play for APR and Rayon Sports, before spending time in Kenya with Sofapaka FC.

He finished his career in the Democratic Republic of Congo with As Vita and Bukavu Dawa.

The memorial match is a chance for the football community to come together and remember a talented player who was taken from us too soon.

It will also be an opportunity to raise awareness of Cryptococcal Meningitis, the disease that claimed Bagoole’s life.

The match will kick off at 3pm at Johnson Bagoole Memorial Grounds. Admission is free.

We hope to see you there!
