Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has released the official ownership structure of all 16 Uganda Premier League clubs, in a move aimed at improving transparency and accountability in Ugandan football.
FUFA said it will now periodically publish and update club ownership details as recorded in the FUFA Certificate of Club Ownership.
It also reminded clubs that declaring their ownership structure annually is a mandatory requirement under the licensing system.
The disclosure has cleared long-standing uncertainty at some clubs, especially new entrants like Buhimba United Saints, while confirming clear control patterns at others.
One of the key revelations shows Andwanaho Abiud as the majority shareholder of Buhimba United Saints FC with a 40% stake.
At Mbarara City FC, ownership is fully in the hands of Hon. Mwine Mpaka, who holds 100% of the club.
Government linked control remains visible at clubs such as KCCA FC and NEC FC, which operate under institutional structures.
