2026 FUFA Women’s Cup | SF-1st Leg | Saturday June 13,
- Kampala Queens FC 2-0 Lady Doves FC
- Amus College WFC 0-3 Kawempe Muslim LFC
Kampala Queens took a strong step towards the 2026 FUFA Women’s Cup final after beating Lady Doves 2-0 in the first leg of their semi-final on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Phillip Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.

The home side controlled much of the game and struck at key moments to build a two-goal advantage ahead of the return leg in Masindi next weekend.
Kamiyati Naigaga opened the scoring just before halftime, giving Kampala Queens a deserved lead going into the break. Shortly after the restart, Joanita Ainembabazi doubled the advantage with a quick second goal that put the hosts in full control.

The result leaves Kampala Queens in a strong position, though Ainembabazi insisted the job is not finished yet, crediting preparation and following the coach’s instructions for her scoring run against Lady Doves.
“The good preparation, reading the game and listening to the coach’s instructions helped me score in all three fixtures against Lady Doves,” said Ainembabazi. “We go back to train well and prepare for the second leg.”
Lady Doves coach Gladys Nakito blamed complacency and mistakes for the defeat but remained confident her side can turn things around in the second leg if they correct their errors.
“The reason we lost this game is complacency and the mistakes we made,” she said. “We will correct those issues and I am sure we can win the second leg.”
In the other semi-final, Kawempe Muslim produced a solid away performance, beating Amus College WFC 3-0. Latifah Nakasi scored twice, while Jovia Nakagolo added the other goal to give Kawempe a comfortable lead going into the return fixture.
