After the group stage saga, the 2026 Bika Football switches to the knockout stage with last year’s quarter-finalists matching this year’s group stage winners as Nakinsige are set to challenge the defending champions of Ngabi Nsamba at Wankulukuku.
The match is among the 8 round of 16 matches awaiting to take place on Sunday, May 24, at three different venues: Kabaka Kyabaggu in Wakiso, Kawanda SS ground, and Muteesa II Wankulukuku Stadium.
Nakinsige has already authored a strong statement, from giving out walkovers to group H winners, with two wins and a draw off the group that consisted of Ngaali, Ntalaganya, and Olulyo Olulangira.
As they chase their first-ever Bika Shield, the chance has arrived at their hands, facing Ngabi Nsamba, who has the last two shields back to back in 2025 and 2024.
Both teams shall command powerful attacks, with Nakinsige under Eric Kisuze and Ibrahim Kirya operating around Mikdad Ssenyonga, Muhammad Kyeyune, Lawrence Kambugu, and Tevin Kyeyune.
In Midfield, Hassan Kalegga and Said Kyayune will shield the defense that is led by Joseph Zziwa and Swaibu Kyeyune, while in Goal there will be Bashir Ssenyonga.
As they search for their third straight shield under Michael Bukenya, Ngabi Nsamba is still keeping the team that helped them win the last two, with Bruno Bunyaga, Viane Ssekajugo, Richard Matove, and others all in shape to play.
The team extends its reach squad to the likes of goalkeeper Hassan Matovu, Midfielder Najib Yiga, Steven Yiga, and Sulaiman Matovu, who may provide as a player, but his experience will hardly be overlooked.
Before the Ngabi Nsamba and Nakinsige game at 4:00 pm, Last year’s finalists will take on Nkima at Wankulukuku starting at 2:00 pm, At Kawanda SS Mutima Musagi will take on Mboga while Ngabi Nyunga will take on Mbwa.
