Following the draws for the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association Boys football U20 National Championship, big meet-ups are being anticipated as giants are drawn against each other.
The draws, held at GNS Hotel in Kampala on Monday, April 27, for the Championship slated for May 10th to 20th at Lira Town College, placed the defending Champions Buddo SS in group A along with Teso College.
In other group games, in group E, though it is just their third appearance at the championship, Kyadondo SS has already garnered much attention for their exciting performances, reaching the quarterfinals in Ngora last season.
Being drawn in the same group with Jinja Progressive and Kalisizo seeds, it is not just a showdown but a call for highly intensified games during the group matches.
From group E directly to group F, where Amus College will have challenges from newcomer St Mark High School Kayunga, and Standard High School, Ndejje, who are on their second attempt.
In group P, last year’s finalist, also this year’s Wakiso Zone champion St Mary’s Boarding School Kitende, and Kampala Zone champions Lubiri SS were drawn together.
The group further includes Bukedea Comprehensive North, which would like to stop some competitors for their Main Campus, Bukedea Comprehensive South, which was placed in Group I along with the championship Host, Lira Town College.
