Following his hugely anticipated move to Young Africans SC, defender Gift Fred has bade a short yet emotional goodbye to his SC Villa family.
Gift is set to sign a three-year contract with the Tanzania Premier League champions until 2026.
“A lovely family you have been,” Gift started in his emotional good-bye to the club fraternity.
“The fun,competition,comebacks ,cooperation and many others, i’m surely very grateful family,” he added.
The Uganda Cranes player has been a free agent after the expiry of his contract with SC Villa at the end of last season.
Gift Fred skippered Villa last campaign in their pursuit of the Uganda Premier League title, before eventually losing it to winners Vipers SC.
Gift joined Villa in 2020 from regional league side Booma FC, signing a three-year contract.
He featured for Uganda Cranes in the CHAN tournament and played in the 2-1 defeat to Algeria in the previous qualifiers of the Africa Cup of Nations.
