KCCA FC and Uganda Cranes left-back Ibrahim Juma is on the verge of finalizing his move to Spanish side, Club Deportivo Leganes.

The youngster is set to join another Ugandan in Spain, in David Owori.

Owori left SC Villa in March 2021 and signed for Velez Club de Futbol on a four-year employment contract.

While Owori’s paymasters play in the Segunda Federacion which is the Spanish fourth division, Juma’s new employers feature in the Segunda Division – one tier below Laliga, which is the top-flight league in the country.

Juma was promoted to the KCCA senior team from the development side at the start of the 2021/22 season.

He managed four appearances, all as a starter, scored once, and also managed a solitary assist.

The 18-year-old was recently part of the Uganda Cranes team that qualified for the 2023 CHAN tournament in Algeria after eliminating Tanzania 4-0 on aggregate in the qualifiers.

Laganes is currently positioned 19th on the 22-team log with three points from five outings.
