Uganda Cranes coach Milutin Micho Sredejovic has named a 35-man squad that will head out to Libya for a mini tournament slated for next week.

Uganda will face hosts Libya on Wednesday September 21 and Tanzania on Saturday September 24 in a tri-nation tournament in Benghazi.

Newly signed Dundee United player, Sadat Anaku, is among the players in a squad that mainly comprises players under the age of 23.

The mini tournament will basically prepare the Uganda U23 team to face Guinea in AFCON U23 Qualifiers.

The other Foreign-based players include goalkeeper Giosue Bellagambi from Huddersfield Town FC, Abdul Azizi Kayondo, Musa Ramathan, Steven Sserwadda and Derrick Kakooza.

“The six foreign based players and four players from Vipers SC will not be available for the testimonial matches but instead will join us on Sunday as we travel to Libya,” said Micho.

The squad will play two testimonial matches for former Cranes midfielder Tonny Mawejje who announced his retirement.

The foreign based players and those from Vipers will join the team after the testimonials
