Uganda Cranes and Golden Arrows goalkeeper Ismail Watenga has set his sights on playing more games and helping hplis team win matches in the 2023/24 season.
Watenga, who joined Golden Arrows on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns last week, has already played in both of the club’s opening league games.
He made his debut in a 1-1 draw with Moroka Swallows on August 5, playing the full 90 and returned for the 2-1 win over Richards Bay on August 8.
The 28-year-old goalkeeper is eager to get more playing time this season after only making six appearances for Mallumo Gallants last term.
“I played few games last season, my target this season, is to play as many games as possible and to help my team win games,” Watenga said.
Watenga’s performances so far have been impressive, and he has helped Golden Arrows to top the table with four points from two games.
The team will next face Mamelodi Sundowns on August 15.
