Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Salim Jamal Magoola has equalled compatriot Denis Onyango and Calvin Marlin‘s record for the most clean-sheets of the First Round in the Premier Soccer League (PSL).

Jamal and Onyango now share the record along with Marlin even though the latter achieved the feat in 15 games, which is one more than the Ugandans.

Jamal made his tally in 14 games with Richards Bay, which is the same as Onyango did with Mamelodi Sundowns.

The former, on Saturday helped his side to a 1-0 victory over Swallows FC, as they kept pace on table leaders Sundowns in the title chase.

As the latter occupy the summit with 31 points, Jamal’s Richards Bay are runners-up with 26 in 14 games.

Meanwhile, the 27 year-old former Express FC and KCCA FC among others goalkeeper is also now seven shutouts away from breaking the most clean-sheets in a 30-game PSL season.

Jamal can break Moeneeb Josephs‘ 17 clean-sheets a season record, which the latter made in the 2009/10 campaign as he featured for Orlando Pirates.
