Thirteen-time Uganda Premier League champions, KCCA FC have confirmed they will participate in the 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup.

This comes at a time when the club was contemplating taking up the slot, due to reported financial constraints.

The club’s CEO Anisha Muhoozi had initially been reported by Pulse Sports that they were still discussing the matter, a thing that had the club’s fans worried.

For finishing second in the league, and the fact that Vipers SC won a domestic double, the Kasasiro Boys have confirmed they will take part in Africa’s second-tier clubs’ competition.

“KCCA FC has today, sent in its confirmation to FUFA confirming participation in the CAF Confederation Cup,” a club statement read.

KCCA FC last participated in the competition in 2020 but were dumped out at the preliminary stage by Rwandan side AS Kigali.
