Muni University narrowly beat University of Kisubi 2-3 to grind their first victory of the 2022 Pepsi University League in Entebbe on Wednesday.
Alfred Egabile came through with a hat-trick for the visitors while Frank Tumusiime and Davis Kanyola netted the consolations for the hosts.
Despite the victory on the day, with one game to go, Muni can not make the knockout stages even if they register a win in their last game.
Second placed Nkumba University have nine points and leaders Makerere University Business School (MUBS) have garnered 12 already.
MUBS and Nkumba will lock horns later on Thursday at the latter’s grounds in Entebbe as they seek revenge over the Nakawa based outfit.
