Kutchi Tigers stretched their lead at the top of the National Men’s 50 Over table following their convincing 145-run win against Wanderers on Sunday.

The Tigers went into the game as the only side yet to taste defeat in the league this season, and they showed why the status quo reads as such.

They outdid their opponents on both fronts. With the bat, which they did first, Avnish Vikeriya (66), Nandikishor Patel (67) and Hiren Keran (60) all hit half centuries while Mitul Pindoriya (41), Chintan Keran (19) and Jesani Dhansuk (15) all produced decent contributions enroute to their 284/6.

With the ball, Devendra Khimani picked four wickets while Ashani Ganshyam and Paresh Patel each picked two as Wanderers got bowled out inside the 32nd Over.

Mandeep Singh Shines for Wanderers

Only Mandeep Singh (39), Joseph Byaruhanga (20) and team captain Ivan Kakande (26) managed to produce something to write home about.

The win was Kutchi Tigers’ fourth. They maintain their 100% run in the league and remain top of the table with 8 points.

That’s four ahead of Ceylon Lions who beat Nyakasura by 4 wickets on Saturday..

Cricket Cranes players Siraje Nsubuga and Joseph Baguma each picked four wickets for their respective sides in that game.

Nsubuga’s arrived first as Ceylon Lions restricted Nyakasura to 113/10, but Baguma responded in same fashion however, his side came out on the losing side.

Both Nyakasura and Wanderers have the same number of points as Ceylon, but Wanderers dropped down to fourth due to an inferior net run rate.

Tornado Bees and Patidar were out of action this season, but the two are both rooted to the bottom of the table with no point. Both sides haven’t won a game this season.
