The World Cup bound Rugby Cranes 7s team was flagged off today morning at Copper Chimney Restaurant and Bar found inside Lugogo Sports complex.
The event was graced by the State Minister of sports, Hon. Peter Ogwang who did the honour of handing over the flag to team captain Michael Wokorach.
The team is expected to fly out of the country on Sunday night ahead of the games to be hosted by Cape Town from the 9th of October to the 11th of the same month.
Head Coach Tolbert Onyango will travel with a 12 man squad namely; Michael Wokorach (captain), Ian Munyani (vice-captain), Desire Ayera, Aaron Ofoywroth, Adrian Kasito, Timothy Kisiga, Philip Wokorach, Alex Aturinda, Ivan Otema, Karim Arinaitwe, Nobert Okeny and William Nkore.
