Soroti City will be looking to make history on Saturday when they take on bottom side Tornado Bees in the final two games of the National Women’s T20 League.

The side coached by Wilfred Ogwang currently top the table with 18 points, and only need to win one of their two games to lift the trophy for the first time.

They will be confident of doing so at the Green Oval in Entebbe, given that Tornado Bees have lost nine of their ten games this season.

However, Soroti City will know that they can not take anything for granted, as any slip up could hand the title to their rivals Olila High.

Olila are currently third in the standings, but just two points behind Soroti City. They will be facing Pioneer at the Jinja SS Oval in their final two games.

If Soroti City lose one of their games and Olila win both, the latter will be crowned champions on a net run rate.

The league enters its final round of games with perennial winners Aziz Damani out of the title winning equation. Damani has won the league four times in a row, but they are likely to finish third this term.

They currently sit second with 17 points, but having played their last games last weekend, they will drop to third if Olila win at least one of their games.

The final round of games will be played on Saturday, July 1st.
