Buddu extended their unbeaten run this season after coming from a goal down to defeat Buluuli 2–1 in a thrilling encounter.

Buddu were forced to fight back after Buluuli took an early lead, putting the visitors under pressure in the opening stages of the match. Julius Rubaiza had given the hosts the lead in the very first minute of play.

However, Buddu remained composed and continued pushing for an equalizer. Their persistence was eventually rewarded when Obed Ronald Giu found the back of the net to level the scores, assisted by Shakibu Mayanja.

The game remained tightly contested as both sides searched in vain for a decisive goal, largely due to disciplined defending from both teams.

Buddu’s head coach, Eric Kisuze, then made a tactical change, bringing on Steven Yiga to replace Shakibu Mayanja. The substitute quickly justified his introduction, scoring the winning goal to complete Buddu’s comeback. Yiga’s decisive strike was assisted by Ivan Kanda Agamira, turning a 1–0 deficit into a 2–1 victory.

The result marks Buddu’s second away victory of the season and keeps their unbeaten record intact after seven games. With 17 points, they now sit six points ahead of second-placed Busujju in the Bulange group.

Buddu, who are powered by Plascon Uganda, will hope to maintain their strong form in their upcoming fixtures as they continue their impressive, undefeated campaign.
