URA FC head coach Sam Timbe was left overjoyed with star players Nafian Alionzi and right-back James Begisa for their impact as they beat Soltilo Bright Stars FC 2-0 on Saturday.

At the Kavumba Recreation Grounds, Kabon Living and Ibrahim Dada were on the score-sheet for the Tax Collectors, but it’s Begisa and Alionzi who attracted the gaffers’ praise.

The pair had missed their 2-1 loss to Busoga United a week ago, due to their engagements with the Uganda Cranes in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

“They gave us what we missed in the previous game that we lost. Probably, if they were around last Saturday, we wouldn’t have lost.”

Timbe was then over the moon with the manner with which the entire team behaved to recover from the Busoga slump.

“We changed a few things from the past, played well and did the most important thing; score. When you score you stand a chance to be victorious.”

“It was important that the team didn’t lose concentration in possession and didn’t allow them (Bright Stars) too many shots on goal.”

The result on the road guided the Tax Collectors to fifth with 26 points after 19 matches, and today, they host Wakiso Giants FC in their next match at Mehta Stadium.
