URA FC recovered from last week’s slump to master a comfortable 2-0 victory over Soltilo Bright Stars FC in the Uganda Premier League, on Saturday at the Kavumba Recreation Grounds.

Ibrahim Dada and Kabon Living netted in the first half to ensure Sam Timbe’s team recover from the 2-1 defeat to Busoga United a week back.

Victory also meant that the Tax Collectors are on the road of recovering from their dismal campaign, as they now lie fifth with 26 points on the 15-team log.

Meanwhile, Bright Stars will need another try to win against the Taxmen as they haven’t won the tie in each of the past eight attempts.

The Asaph Mwebaze coached team also suffered a second successive league defeat following last week’s 1-0 loss to UPDF FC.

However, the Saturday scoreline didn’t exactly imply the hosts didn’t put up a fight, as they could have broken the deadlock in the third minute, but Yasin Mugume‘s freekick was expertly denied by captain and custodian Nafian Alionzi.

Forward Emmanuel Loki also missed from point-blank range after being set up by Nelson Senkatuka, as did Ashraf Mulindi at the death.

While 10th placed Bright Stars (24 points) will visit leaders SC Villa on Tuesday, URA will on Wednesday host Wakiso Giants FC.
