BUL FC completed a fifth game in succession without a win, after a barren stalemate with Gaddafi FC in the Uganda Premier League on Wednesday.
The FUFA Technical Center, Njeru result left the Oil Manufacturers stuck in third with 30 points, five adrift of leaders KCCA FC who have played three games less.
The former is ahead of fourth-placed Vipers SC by two points, but the champions have played four games less due to their involvement in the CAF Champions League.
Meanwhile, in Jinja, neither side showed the desired urgency to grab all three points, as the display was dull and short of goalscoring opportunities.
BUL interim head coach Simeon Masaba is yet to emulate his former boss, Alex Isabirye who joined Vipers under a month back.
The latter had turned the side into results monsters but also boasted brilliant attacking football. Under his reign, BUL were genuine title contenders.
What’s next for both teams
Masaba will hope his charges can turn their fortunes around when they visit strugglers Onduparaka FC on April 4.
On the other hand, Wasswa Bbosa‘s Gaddafi moved up to seventh with 24 points, despite failing to win any of their previous four matches.
They will take on a much improved Busoga United on April 4 as well, in what will be a Jinja derby.
