Uganda U-19 Cricket girls picked their second win at the ongoing T20 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers in Botswana to book a semifinals slot.
The 23-run win over Sierra Leone followed their 4-wicket opening win against Namibia hence securing a top two finish with a game to spare.
Sandra Achawo (48 runs) and Patricia Timong (29 runs) bossed the game in the last 10 overs to guide Uganda to a comfortable 107 runs.
In the defence, the baby Victoria Pearls limited Sierra Leone to only 84 runs thanks again to Patricia Timong who picked two wickets and Rachel Achan who settled for one.
Now, the focus is on maintaining the top spot and this will be accomplished by registering another victory in their final game against hosts, Botswana.
The top two sides in each group qualify for the semifinal with the overall winner going to the World Cup.
