2026 National Basketball League | Men | Wednesday May 13
- JT Jaguars BBC 66-93 Namuwongo Blazers BC
Namuwongo Blazers continued to cement their authority on the 2026 National Basketball League after trouncing JT Jaguars 93-66 on Wednesday night.
The game was effectively over after the first quarter.
Anthony Chukwubuka Chukwurah won the opening jump ball over Peter Sifuma before Elijah Adakun scored the first basket with a lay up.
But from there, the Blazers took complete control through Fataki Nyembo, whose hot shooting lit up the floor alongside Tonny Drileba and Tembo Kasereka.
JT Jaguars tried to stay in the contest through Chuol Dut Abraham and Sifuma, but the Blazers were simply too sharp.
By the end of the opening quarter, the Blazers had raced into a commanding 37-16 lead.
Even the bench joined the party. Ivan Muhwezi came on and immediately knocked down a three pointer as the Blazers maintained the pressure.
The Blazers went on to dominate the second and third quarters 20-14 and 21-9 respectively, opening a huge 39 point lead heading into the final period.
After halftime, fans sensed a possible century and broke into chants of “we want a hundred.”

With the game already under control, the Blazers rested their big men Chukwurah, Nyembo and Drileba for the remainder of the night.
That gave Henry Ssebagala, Arthur Wanyoto, Peter Obleng and veteran James Okello a chance to close out the game.
JT Jaguars showed brief resistance in the third quarter through Sifuma, helped by George Cristian Odeke off the bench and Ian Lubwama, but the comeback never truly threatened the Blazers.
The Blazers eventually eased off in the fourth quarter and lost it 27-15, though the result was never in doubt.
Peter Obleng led the scoring with 19 points while Nyembo added 18. Jimmy Enabu contributed 10 points as the Blazers once again showed their depth, finishing with 51 bench points.
For the Jaguars, Sifuma recorded a double-double of 22 points and 11 rebounds while Lubwama added 12 points and 12 rebounds in defeat.
The Jaguars struggled from three-point range, shooting 8 for 31, committed 20 turnovers and lost the rebound battle 53-43.
The victory was the Blazers’ 14th straight since losing their season opener to City Oilers.
It also completed a season double over the Jaguars following last month’s 82-62 win.
For JT Jaguars, it was a fourth defeat in their last five games, increasing pressure on coach Sudi Ulanga.
Earlier, Ulanga had found some joy after JT Lady Jaguars defeated Pearl Queens 64-54 in the Women’s National Basketball League.
